Tawow Lodge is a hunting and fishing camp that is nestled on Wekusko Lake just 40 miles from the mining town of Snow Lake, Manitoba. Tawow Lodge and Bear Claw Outfitters have over 2,500 square miles of virgin territory that is consistently baited and regularly maintained. All of our hunts are over active baits from a tree stand or a ground blind.
The Bear Hunting Package includes six days of hunting from Monday through Saturday. Lodging, all meals, guide, license, skinning, meat quartering and freezing are included. The lodging is in our two story log lodge or comfortable cabins. Tawow has some of the best facilities of hunting lodges around.
Black bear hunts are conducted in late afternoon until dark when bears are most active. Mornings are free to fish, sightsee or relax.
Black Bear are well known for wide color variations, including shades of brown, cinnamon, and blonde. All are present in the area. Hunters wishing to drive will travel six (6) hours north of Winnipeg on paved roads. Commercial flights are available from Winnipeg and Thompson daily. Rental vehicles are available or arrangements can be made to have hunters picked up in Thompson.
